About the Cardiff Half Marathon

The Cardiff Half Marathon is the biggest running event in Wales and one of six European SuperHalfs, making it one of the most iconic half marathons in the world.

With a course that is flat and fast, the Cardiff Half Marathon is a great race for beginner and experienced runners alike. Many of the 27,000 runners choose to run for charity, guaranteeing an incredible atmosphere on the day.

The event is expected to sell out earlier than ever, so be sure to  and run in support of 91ÊÓƵ's.

The route

The race takes place on the streets of Cardiff alongside the city’s landmarks of beautiful buildings and stunning natural scenery.

Starting at Cardiff Castle, the circular route takes you south past the Principality and Cardiff City Stadiums. You will run by the Penarth Marina and enjoy sensational views as you cross the Cardiff Bay Barrage barrage, passing the Norwegian Church and Wales Millennium Centre.

The course then heads north with a loop of Roath Park Lake, ready for a grandstand finish at the Civic Centre in the heart of the city.
